Migraine:
Migraine headache can cause intense throbbing pain on one side of the head and is commonly associated with nausea, vomiting & extreme sensitivity to light & sound.
Causes:
> Naurovascular disease
> Gastro-intestinal disturbances
Symptoms:
> Pain may be on one side or both sides of head
> Pain that has a throbbing or pulsating quality
> Nausea or vomiting
> Blurred vision
> Sensitivity to light, sound & sometimes smell
Investigations:
> Check eye power
> If persists for more than 6 months, CT Scan & MRI are advised.
